“ The dining experience was truly delightful. The decor is a bit dated but not to the point of being looking old. The wait staff was excellent and the food first rate. Pietros is on the second floor of the building and the entrance is almost a literal hole in the wall. You have to pass in between a bar and a seating area of another restaurant to get to the stairs or elevator to Pietros. Once upstairs you will find Italian food paradise. Our waiter was polite and very knowledgeable about the offerings of food and beverage. Once we ordered, his timing of the meal was on point. Everything flowed and we never seemed rushed nor ignored. Beverage glasses stayed full and plates were delivered or taken away promptly. The wife ordered a caprese salad, soup of the day and chicken marsala. The caprese salad was wonderful. The tomatoes were ripe and the cheese fresh. The wife really liked the balsamic reduction dribble on the tomatocheese. The soup was a simple vegetable offering in a light broth. Simple yet delicious. The chicken marsala brought a smile to the wifes face. Absolutely one of the best she has had. I had an eggplant parmesan. I judge all Italian restaurants by this dish. I was introduced to this dish as a child and look for certain things. The eggplant is sliced to the size of a small steak and breaded. Suateed then covered in marinara and mozzarella. Under the broiler to melt the cheese and served with a pasta. Pietros hit a home run. So far one of the two best Italian restaurants we had tried in the Reno area. ”

They have mastered the flavor of the sauces, whether Marinara, Alfredo, meat sauce, Picata, etc. We always have a great dining experience here. A nice wine list as well. “ Minestrone soup Light fresh flavors I got a bit of pepper which I recommend Not heavy feeling, veggies cooked well, not served to you hella hot Spaghetti with meat sauce xtra sauce Sauce had a slight sour taste I have to say the portion is way too large even for a hardy eater, the entree is good and does fill you up but also serves as a double meal the day after. Tiramisu The top layer is very light and creamy while the bottom is rich and moist, not too strong of either flavor since they are a good balance of rich and delicate. The presentation is nice and the chocolate sauce drizzled is the richest flavor on the plate. Big enough to share with someone. Kind of vanilla cinnamon flavor and light coffee flavor Over all Come here with a genuinely empty stomach. We did not have a reservation but despite this we sat in the bar along with another walkin just seconds before us and got seated within 510 minutes. Its very much feels like a multi course meal with how they present the food to you. By the time I got to my entree I was already pretty ok with all the soup and bread they provided. I ended up taking almost my whole entree home even after eating some which it did in fact not look like I even ate. I recommend the salad over the soup and definitely get dessert. I also like to throw in when a place has good regular sodas and they are very good at the refills of anything at the table. Most plates are 1520 but they can range to 3045, expect to spend around 100 with two people and a lot of food. They box your food for you and yes you can take the bread ”
